8 'o clubs.

hey everyone !
: )

take a look at my awesome (terrible) 8 of clubs card i make on paint !

:D

When i saved this, i saved it as a 24-bit bitmap, and a monochrome bitmap. I couldn't see the difference.

But they were different sizes, the 24 one was 281kb and the mono one was 12.8kb, what's up with that ?

I have absolutely no idea how this could be. I mean, i'm not no scientist, don't be bringing those questions here.

Oh, and if i didn't scare you away from "painting tools", kudos.

Painting Tools

You know, i was gunna make the name of this blog more interesting, but i know you'd steal my idea, so i'm not. You did this to yourselves.

Anyway, i'm here about the tools from paint. I'm gunna explain them as simply as possible for you ( :

Well, you might be wondering how you're gunna know which thing i'm talking about, so i'm telling you now, i'm going left to right on each line, from the top to the bottom. Got it ? Good.

Well, time is money (not for me). Anyway.

Free-Form Select.
Free-Form select can be used as an eraser, if you wanna take away specific things without having to rub out other things. Or it can be used to move specific things around without disturbing the background.... much. It's really easy to use. All you have to do is click on it, draw around the edges of what you wanna erase/move and move it or remove it. Ahh, the freedom.

Select.
Select can also be used as an eraser or to move things around, but it has to be in the shape of a square. You click on it and draw a box around that you want and you can move it someplace else or delete it. Your choice. I would rather use free-form select though.
Eraser.
Pretty self-explanatory really. You use it when you wanna erase something.
Fill With Colour.
You use this when you wanna fill an area with one colour. Pretty simple to use.
Pick Colour.
You use this when you need a specific colour that's on the picture, but not in the colour box. You click on the colour you want and it will give you the colour.
Magnifier.
You should know how to use this. But if you don't, you click on the area you want to make bigger, so you can take a closer look.
Pencil.
If you don't know what this is, you'd better get off my blog. You use it to draw stuff. Duhh.
Brush.
You use it to colour in. Like a giant pencil, but one of the good ones, not one of the cheap ones what like, screech.
Airbrush.
The airbrush is like a spray can. I don't really like using it.
Text.
You use this when you wanna add writing to it.
Line.
You use this when you want a straight line, it could be diagonal, but it makes it straight. It's a good tool.
Curve.
It's like a line, except you can curve it, you can make a love heart with it. Among other things.
Rectangle.
You use this when you want to make a rectangle.
Polygon.
You use this when you wanna make a polygon, which is just a shape with 4 sides, not necessarily a square.
Ellipse.
You use this when you wanna make a circle or an oval, or anything round.
Rounded Rectangle.
You use this when you wanna make a rectangle or a square with rounded vertixs' (vertexs' are the points)
Well, this concludes this post. I hope it helps.
Not really.

Digital Art

Well, i'm back.
Sorry for the boringness this blog may bring, i'm not in a good mood.

Anyway, digital art. Real art or not ?
Real art, definitely.

Art is about creating something, weather it be digitally or otherwise.
Well, that's my opinion anyway. Go with it if you want.
Plus, there are some advantages to digital art. When you make a mistake, you can reverse it and make it look like the mistake never happened, also, you can make things move, or.... do anything you want really.

But, to be classified a digital artist(to me) you have to be creative and know how to use everything you have to your advantage.

Again, not in a good mood.
Bye.

Digital media

1. Digital media usually refers to electronic media, eg. Digital camera's, mobile phones, iPod's, video games, computers, televisions etc.

2. Digital media uses the Binary Number System which is "0" and "1"'s to code all data.

3. A byte is a basic unit of measurement. eg. megabyte, kilobyte, gigabyte. Bytes consist of 8 bits. A bit is a smaller unit of measurement.

4. The sampling rate defines the number of samples per second taken from a continuous signal, to a discrete one.

5. Colour depth or bit depth, is a computer grapics term decribing the number of bits used to represent the color of a single pixel in a bitmapped image or video frame buffer. Higher color depth gives a broader range of distinct colors.

6. I don't get it.
